Ciri Takes Center Stage in The Witcher 4

CD Projekt Red has officially unveiled The Witcher 4 with a stunning trailer at The Game Awards 2024, confirming a monumental shift in the series: Ciri will replace Geralt of Rivia as the central protagonist. This marks a bold new direction for the franchise, as players will follow Ciri’s story years after the events of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

The trailer begins with the scene of a young girl being sacrificed to a monstrous Bauk, a terrifying creature from Slavic folklore. Ciri, now a seasoned Witcher, interrupts the ritual wielding her iconic sword, Zireael, gifted to her by Geralt.
