Esports World Cup: Team BDS clean sweep w7m esports to become Rainbow Six champions

Throughout, the whole competition Team BDS came in with the mentality to win and dominated the competition to win the cup.

Team BDS, has had a reputation playing Rainbow Six: Siege in Riyadh this year and they have lived up to it in the inaugural Esports World Cup by clean sweeping w7m esports in the finals. This is the third consecutive tittle they have won making the squad back-to- back champions.
Team BDS, had swept through the initial stages of the competition by defeating all their opponents one by one. They had first defeated Team Cruelty 7-4 and had topped Group A , to enter into the first bracket quarter final. Ironically, they had also won their first match against w7m, defeating them 7-2 to qualify for the playoff stages.
This time , the playoffs was switched from best of three to the best of five format. The move was done in order to make it a high stakes final . However Team BDS- dominated through out the whole playoff stage winning against all of their opponents by large margins. With a quarter final win against FaZe Clan with 2-1 . Later they swept Team Furia 2-0 in the semifinals and 3-0 over the finals.

In the finals, BDS from the get go were dominating through out. They always had the advantageous position at almost every map and had a stranglehold throughout the whole competition. The only map where w7m had a little advantage was Coinsulate , but only managed to muster up three points before again loosing. At the end, it was just a formality as Team BDS won by a margin of 21-6.
Team BDS’s 1st place position, earned them $750,000 as well as bragging rights along with a trophy that etched their name in history.
They also have been awarded 1000, EWC points allowing them to join the leader board in a bid to the ultimate tittle. Josh Pritchard, was named the MVP for his smart play throughout the whole tournament.
