The Esports World Cup organizers have unveiled an interesting new trophy system in the shape of “keys” that will represent the participation and accomplishments of the teams taking part in the competition.

At the start of the tournament, each participating team will get a unique “key” that consists of an outer metal frame and an inner key. The frame will be fastened to a totem that represents their victory, and the winner will place their key in the tournament’s main cup.

The keys of the teams that are eliminated from the tournament will be destroyed in front of all other participants and placed in resin at the bottom of the totem. Additionally, the winning team will also get to select three keys from the other teams to place inside their trophy.

Fans can look forward to watching this new trophy system in effect from the 3rd of July till the 25th of August. The event will be streamed on YouTube and DAZN.
