Navi have continued their incredible win streak through out the competition to clinch the esports title at the esports world cup.

Admittedly heading into the competition, NAVI were not the hot favourites in order to clinch the first Esports CS2 Championship title. They earned this title from massive contributions and incredible calls for every member. The title will placate all of NAVI’s fans amid talks of roster changes and lots of scrutiny on them, leading into the tournament.

The team had showed up dominant through the Esports World Cup playoff stages, defeating tournament favourites: FaZe and MOUZ to go into the final. In the final they went against G2 and the team played together to split the kills among them and clinch their first title.

EWC CS2 FINALS AND MVP EARNINGS

The title winners NAVI take home a $400,000 first-place cash prize and etch their name in the Esports World Cup book as the first CS2 Champions.

Meanwhile, G2’s Niko, who earned the MVP award, will return with MVP status and a $50,000 cash prize. Moreover, his name is going to be etched throughout the EWC history books as the most valuable player in CS2 for the first-ever edition.

What’s next for both of the teams ?

This win has cemented NAVI’s position as a Top 5 team in CS2.

Both NAVI and G2 are set to compete against each other in multiple tournaments soon, starting with the BLAST Premier next week so it will be exciting to see if G2 will be able to get their revenge against NAV.
