PGL Unveils Eight $1 Million Dota 2 Tournaments Over 3 Years

First Tournament, PGL Wallachia, to Kick Off in May 2024

Tournament organizer PGL has revealed its ambitious commitment to the competitive Dota 2 scene, outlining plans to host a series of eight $1 million tournaments between now and the end of 2026. The announcement comes as a significant boon for Dota 2 players and enthusiasts worldwide, signalling PGL’s steadfast dedication to delivering top-tier esports experiences.

The inaugural tournament, PGL Wallachia, is scheduled to take place from May 10-19, marking the commencement of PGL’s multi-year initiative. Following closely, the second tournament will unfold between November 15-24, promising intense competition.

In a press release, PGL emphasized its unwavering support for the Dota 2 community, stating, “We are committed to hosting a series of Dota 2 tournaments over the next three years, from 2024 through 2026. This strategic move reaffirms PGL’s dedication to the Dota 2 community and its ongoing effort to deliver world-class esports experiences.”

Looking ahead, PGL has outlined a comprehensive calendar for 2025 and 2026, with six additional tournaments scheduled. The dates and qualifying periods for these events are as follows:

2025 PGL Tournament #1: March 6-15 | Qualifiers – January 5-12
2025 PGL Tournament #2: April 18-27 | Qualifiers – March 23-30
2025 PGL Tournament #3: November 7-16 | Qualifiers – September 21-28
2026 PGL Tournament #1: March 6-15 | Qualifiers – January 4-11
2026 PGL Tournament #2: April 17-26 | Qualifier – March 22-29
2026 PGL Tournament #3: November 6-15 | Qualifier – September 27 – October 4
